Cycling in Madrid dresses up this weekend for the Criterium that will have the Paseo de la Castellana as its central stage, where, among others, the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar or the Spanish Juan Ayuso and Carlos Rodríguez will ride.
Fans heading to the capital this weekend will be able to get an up-close look at some of the stars of the peloton, who will take part in an autograph signing event on Saturday and in the race on Sunday.
In addition to Pogacar, Ayuso and Rodríguez, riders such as Raúl García Pierna, Spanish time trial champion, Juanpe López, the man who wore the pink jersey in this year's Giro, Ion Izagirre or the veteran Luis León Sánchez will be at the Madrid event.
The tour will take place along the Paseo de la Castellana starting from Calle José Ortega y Gasset until approximations to the Columbus monument where it will return to the starting point. There will be a total of 30 laps in the elimination test and 35 laps in the scoring test. The cycling festival is celebrated in Madrid this weekend.
