Strike at Vueling: canceled flights are reduced this Monday

Vueling will cancel fewer flights this Monday compared to yesterday in a new day of cabin crew strike called by Stavla.

The main affectation will be one more day at the Barcelona airport, where 28 flights will be cancelled. In this way, 83% of the planned routes will operate, that is, 132 flights of the 160 scheduled. In the rest of the State, 91% of the scheduled flights will operate, which are 168 of the 184 planned. Thus, 16 trips are cancelled. In total, there are 44 affected flights, 20 fewer than this Sunday.

Since the beginning of the protests, which will last until January, the airline has ensured that 95% of affected customers have been relocated, while 5% have not yet chosen another option to travel.

The cabin crew ask for salary improvements to face the increase in inflation. Last Friday, dozens of airline workers gathered outside Terminal 1 of El Prat airport to demand a salary increase. According to the union, the monitoring of the strike was 95%.

For those travelers who have been affected by the strike, the airline offers three great alternatives.

The first is to request reimbursement for the affected journey. According to the company, the refund of the amount will be made in the following 7 days. The second is for Vueling to provide alternative transportation to the final destination as quickly as possible. Finally, there is the possibility of changing to another flight "at a later date or time, at your convenience". Yes, as long as there are seats available.
