Sánchez avoids visiting the faults and the PP affirms that he has not been invited to the act of the gigafactory

Pedro Sánchez did not visit the Fallas de València yesterday and, therefore, did not go up to the balcony of the City Hall to see a "mascletà" as Alberto Núñez Feijóo did the day before, days before José Luis Martínez-Almeida or yesterday Cuca Gamarra. Hours before, the President of the Government accompanied the executives of Volkswagen, King Felipe VI and President Ximo Puig in laying the first stone of the firm's gigafactory that is being built in Sagunt. During that act, there was speculation about whether Sánchez would later go to Valencia. He did not do it.

The Government Delegation in the Valencian Community did not have confirmation yesterday morning about whether Pedro Sánchez would come to see the failures. Nor from the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana, who stated that like all the authorities that come to Valencia on these dates they are invited to participate in them. The truth is that when the act in Sagunt ended, around 12:40 noon, there was little time left to get closer to Valencia, 31 kilometers away and with enormous traffic problems due to the Fallas. The President of the Government left the Valencian Community.

The Valencian PP trustee and candidate for the Valencia City Council, María José Catalá, described the absence of Pedro Sánchez as "lack of respect for parties that deserve the respect of the highest institutions in our country." In the opinion of the popular, the reason for his absence was "fear". "It is evident that Pedro Sánchez cannot step on the street, it is evident that Pedro Sánchez cannot walk through the streets of Valencia, it is evident that there is a fear and a distance between the citizens and Pedro Sánchez. And of course the Socialist Party has to reflect on the distance that has been generated between the citizen of the street and themselves", he added.

At the event held in Sagunt, with a multitude of guests, including the highest representatives of the German multinational, no representative of the Valencian PP attended, which generated not a few comments among those present. When asked about it, PP sources stated that neither Carlos Mazón, president of the Valencian PP, nor any other party leader had been invited. This version was denied by Power Co, a subsidiary of the German electrification group, which assured this newspaper that all the trustees of the Corts were invited, in the case of the PP it is María José Català, and all the municipal spokespersons in Sagunt.
