Smashing Pumpkins, Avril Lavigne and Amaral join the Cruïlla 2024 festival

The Cruïlla festival continues to fill in the gaps in the next line-up with names of international artists such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Avril Lavigne, Trueno and Peter Fox along with local artists such as Amaral, Albert Pla, Funzo

The Smashing Pumpkins will be a headliner in their own right after 35 years on the road. Billy Corgan's band, which this year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the album Siamese dream, will arrive in Barcelona as part of the The World is a vampire tour without guitarist Jeff Schroeder, who recently left the band after 15 years of collaboration.

Another name on the poster is the Canadian Avril Lavigne, author of hits like Complicated, Girlfriend or Sk8er boy, who last year released her seventh album, Love Sux. The princess of pop punk returns to Barcelona 20 years after her last concert in the city. She will do a single concert in Catalonia next Friday, July 12, also on the main stage of the Cruïlla 2024 Festival.

Zaragoza's Amaral, who this year celebrates the 25th anniversary of her first album, Rosita, will also perform at the festival, and it is expected that she will do so with songs from the new album she has in preparation, the ninth of her career. Some songs that will accompany classics like Without you I'm nothing or How to talk. Classics of another style will be performed by the irreverent and surprising Albert Pla, who will arrive accompanied by The Surprise Band to present the show Rumbagenarios.

For its part, the urban scene adds names such as the Argentine rapper Trueno, the Figa Flawas, one of the most powerful bands on the Catalan scene, and Fuzno
