The National Police have arrested six Feyenoord fans, one of them a minor, for causing altercations inside the VIP area of ​​the Metropolitan Stadium during the Champions League match between Atlético de Madrid and the Dutch team last night. reports Efe.

Five of them were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime of injuries, while the other was detained for attacking authority, police sources report.

They are all men between 20 and 52 years old, in addition to a minor under 17 years old.

The six were arrested after a brawl in the VIP area of ​​the Metropolitan Stadium during the match, in which they confronted police officers.

In various videos published on social networks, it is observed how the agents of the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) had to access an interior area of ​​the stadium to control the Dutch fans, even charging at them.

According to investigation sources, five Atlético de Madrid fans who were in the VIP area were injured.

The match between Atlético de Madrid and Feyenoord yesterday in the Champions League and which ended with a 3-2 result had been considered high risk due to the presence of a notable number of Dutch fans, about 4,000.

For this reason, the Ministry of the Interior designed a security device in which nearly 1,300 personnel participated, including the National Police, the Municipal Police of Madrid, SAMUR-Civil Protection, Firefighters, the Red Cross and the security services of Atlético de Madrid itself.
