SIL Barcelona closes with 12,152 attendees

After the stoppage forced by the covid pandemic, the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) ended this Thursday the edition of its return, obtaining the attendance of 12,152 professionals, reported the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), responsible for the organization.

SIL Barcelona closes with 12,152 attendees

After the stoppage forced by the covid pandemic, the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) ended this Thursday the edition of its return, obtaining the attendance of 12,152 professionals, reported the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), responsible for the organization. In this way, the forecasts were achieved and the participation of the last celebration in 2019, before the coronavirus, was exceeded by 10%.

"Success has been possible thanks to the talent of all the companies and professionals who have come together and exhibited their novelties at the leading fair in the sector", valued the special delegate of the State at the CZFB, Pere Navarro. The SIL was attended by representatives from 81 different countries and 314 speakers.

On the other hand, during the three days of the fair, more than 6,620 contacts have been made in the field dedicated to networking, the organization indicated. In addition, the fair had the participation of 650 companies, reaching 20% ​​internationality.

"We closed the most awaited edition by the sector happier than ever and with the desire to continue working", said the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué. According to her, the SIL provides companies with the "needed keys to face the global challenges of logistics and e-commerce in a context of constant evolution".

During the Logistics Nit, the SIL presented its prizes. The award for best innovation went to Project 44, a port intelligence solution that analyzes, compares and monitors port congestion around the world.

Hutchison Port Best, one of the most modern container terminals, took home the Sustainability award. Usyncro was named the best startup thanks to a tool that simplifies shipment management.

Maria Enrech Vidal, director of global supply planning at Puig, received the SIL Award for Female Talent for "promoting responsible logistics, established in accordance with the best professional standards," the organization argued.
