A group of graffiti artists vandalized a convoy on Line 9 of the Madrid Metro (Paco de Lucía-Arganda del Rey) early this Tuesday morning, causing damage of more than 3,300 euros, which has forced circulation to be interrupted. of trains for more than half an hour in one section.

The events occurred around 7:24 a.m. this Tuesday between the Rivas Urbanización and Puerta de Arganda stations, according to sources from the Madrid underground.

A group of seven young people has pulled the door release on the last car of a train, painted some convoys and vandalized some fences. As a consequence, the service has been interrupted between 7:24 and 7:56 a.m. on that section of L9.

Metro de Madrid, which has reported the events to the National Police, has estimated the cost of the damage at a minimum of 3,360 euros, although it points out that more costs will have to be calculated, the underground has indicated.

The young people have tried to hide their identity by hiding their faces with scarves and balaclavas. After the events, they fled the scene without it being possible to locate them.

The Arganda del Rey City Council has indicated in a message on social networks that graffiti artists have jumped onto the tracks to vandalize trains with users in the carriages.
