Russia attacks Kyiv again with drones and burns down a grain silo on the Danube route

Anti-aircraft units of the Ukrainian army again repelled drone attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv early Wednesday, Mayor Vitali Klitschko and military officials said, saying debris from the drones fell in three districts but they caused no injuries.

Klitschko, via the Telegram messaging app, said debris had fallen in the central Solomianskyi district and a non-residential building had been damaged. Emergency services were on the scene.

Klitschko said debris had also fallen in the Svyatoshyn district further west and a tree had caught fire. Serhi Popko, head of Kyiv's military administration, said debris had also fallen on a playground in the Holosiivskyi district near the city center and a non-residential building had caught fire. None of the officers reported injuries.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry also reported today that Russian drone attacks last morning damaged a grain silo in Izmail, on the Danube, which would affect transport through Romania.

"Ukrainian cereals can feed millions of people around the world," denounced Defense, through its Twitter account, after reporting the attack, and accused Russia of "choosing the path of slaughter, starvation and terrorism ".

The message alludes to the successive attacks launched by Russia against the port and industrial infrastructure of the Odessa region and how these are beginning to affect the alternative route across the Danube.

The Odessa regional governor, Oleh Kiper, had previously reported the attack, which has not produced any casualties. "At night, the enemy directed the attack of unmanned aerial vehicles to the south of the Odesa region, and as a result of the attack, fires broke out at port and industrial infrastructure facilities in the region," Kiper said on his channel. from Telegram.

Ukraine's President Volodimir Zelensky described these attacks as a "threat to everyone, on all continents" and accused Russia of "terrorism". "Russian terrorists once again attacked ports, cereals and world food security," the Ukrainian leader wrote through his Telegram account, as reproduced by the Ukrinform portal.

Zelensky then stressed that "all our operational services functioned effectively" and called for an international "response", since the threat and attacks affect grain shipments all over the world.

Since it left the grain deal, Russia has been attacking Ukrainian port infrastructure.
