The coordinator of Esquerra Unida (EU), Rosa Pérez Garijo, will repeat as a candidate for the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana after defeating the list led by María Ángeles Llorente with 69% of the votes, according to provisional results (telematic vote face-to-face vote ) provided by training.
Likewise, after the first scrutiny, the regional deputy for the formation, Estefanía Blanes, will lead the list for Alicante with 68.5% of support. In Castellón, with a single list, the headliner will be Antoni Llorente, regional secretary for Participation in the same department headed by Pérez Garijo.
Despite 31% of the votes against, from the environment of Pérez Garijo they highlighted that the EU leader has improved by 5 points compared to the internal primaries held a year ago to renew the management bodies.
In addition, the same sources point out, the candidacies led by the EUPV coordinator and councilor have been the most voted in almost all the counties, in all except Camp de Morvedre and Vall d'Albaida.

Once the primaries are over, Pérez Garijo will have to carry out a complicated negotiation process to try to repeat, at least, the alliance with Unides Podem that allowed the US to return to the Valencian Parliament. In fact, the winner of the primaries intends to fight with Héctor Illueca for the candidacy for the Generalitat. And it is that, although the minister has bet from the beginning of a great left-wing front, Compromís is reluctant to do so.
