Rodolfo Sancho, blunt minutes before his son's statement in the Thai court: "Look at the laws"

Today was a key day for Daniel Sancho: he appeared before the judge. Rodolfo Sancho's son has been in Koh Samui prison for three months since he confessed to having murdered and dismembered the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta. Since then, his defense, led by his father, has set to work to find the best possible strategy.

After finding the victim's body in garbage bags, Thai police set to work to find out what happened. A few weeks ago the Prosecutor's Office prepared the final report accusing Sancho of premeditated murder, concealment of the body and destruction of other people's documentation.

Minutes before the trial began, Rodolfo Sancho entered the court door to support his son, as he has been doing in recent months. "Very good, thank you, very good," he assured when asked by reporters about his current condition.

As he said, he faced this day "with enthusiasm." And, despite being a definitive moment in Daniel Sancho's future, it seems that they are very sure of the strategy they have behind it. The actor wanted to make it clear that "of course" there was no premeditation after the surgeon's death.

"If not, there wouldn't have been a fight, right? Look at the laws," Rodolfo Sancho added forcefully before entering the courthouse door. But they were not the only words of the actor. When he left, he did not want to answer the Let's See reporter's questions and responded bluntly: "You know everything, man."

And in the words of the Madrid native we have been able to glimpse the strategy that Daniel Sancho has followed during his appearance. The accused has denied two of the three accusations, as revealed by the EFE agency: that of premeditated murder and that of destruction of other people's documentation.

After the judge read the charges attributed to him, Sancho denied having done so with premeditation. Something key in the process, since it can change everything. The Thai police assured a few months ago that the only chance the chef had to avoid the death penalty was to confess all the facts. However, it seems that his defense has everything well tied up.

After ensuring that Edwin Arrieta's death occurred after a fight, the only charge he has accepted was that of hiding the body. Therefore, he has admitted to dismembering the Colombian surgeon and scattering his body across the Thai island.
