This Sunday, emergency services rescued eight people who were hit by the sea in different incidents, in one case a woman who fell into the sea in Gran Canaria while taking a photo and in Tenerife seven people who were swept away by the waves. As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112, the first of these incidents was recorded in the area of ​​the natural pools of Punta de Gáldar, in Gran Canaria, where several people warned that there was a bather in trouble. about 100 meters from the coast.

Apparently, the victim and two other women were hit by the sea when they were taking a photo, and fell into the water. The GES helicopter moved to the area and carried out the rescue of the 31-year-old woman who fell into the water, who had moderate hypothermia, and transferred her to the helisurface of the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where an ambulance of the SUC carried out his assistance and transfer to the hospital emergency service.

The other two victims, who were also hit by the sea but did not fall into the water, were assisted by the SUC and taken to the area's health center.

Likewise, the GES helicopter rescued a 23-year-old young man who fell into the sea after being dragged by a wave on Rojas beach in the Tenerife municipality of El Sauzal. The victim was with another person who was also hit by the wave, but did not fall into the sea.

In addition, the emergency services have assisted six people, one of them rescued by the GES helicopter, after a sea hit the natural pools of Isla Cangrejo, in Santiago del Teide. These people fell into the water after being hit by the sea in the natural pool area and were in trouble.

A 26-year-old young man was rescued by the GES helicopter and transferred to the helicopter base in La Guancha, where an SUC ambulance took him to the Hospital del Norte. The other five affected, two men aged 24 and 26, and three women, two aged 25 and the third, aged 61, were able to leave by their own means or with the help of firefighters and were transported by the SUC to the Center of Health of Alcalá and a hospital center in the south of Tenerife.
