Real Madrid presents the shirt for the 2022-23 season

Real Madrid already has the kit with which it will defend the League championship. Through a video published on social networks, the team from the Spanish capital presented this Monday the shirt they will wear in the 2022-23 season, a "tribute to the club's history" in which the traditional white color is combined with purple in the details of a polo collar with a button and in three stripes on the shoulders.

Made by Adidas with recycled materials, the new shirt is "a tribute to the club's legend", which is "present inside the buttoned collar with a logo that celebrates 120 years" of Real Madrid's history, as reported by the same white set in a press release in which he defined the design as "classic with modern touches". Likewise, the entity's shield will be embodied by all the equipment embroidered in white.

The new shirt will feature the innovations of Adidas' Heat.rdy keep cool technology to regulate the players' temperature during matches. On the other hand, the goalkeeper kit will be blue with a pattern of geometric figures.

In the promotional video published by Real Madrid on its social networks, the men's first team players Karim Benzema, David Alaba, Marcelo and Nacho Fernández appear; women's players Misa Rodríguez, Caroline Møller, Olga Carmona, Nahikari García and Athenea del Castillo, and youth soccer players such as Enzo Alves, Marcelo's son. "History, tradition and unforgettable moments: everything is in the details", was the message with which the club defined the shirt. The legends Roberto Carlos, Raúl González and Iker Casillas and the player Kenti Robles also posed for the official photographs.

In the 2016-17 season, Real Madrid already opted to present a kit with a polo collar, although on that occasion it was smaller. Also, on that jersey, the three Adidas stripes traveled vertically down the side, with navy blue being the color chosen to match white. That same campaign, the Madrid entity presented a second completely purple elastic, in which it was the last time to date that this color was present in its clothing line. With this shirt, Real Madrid played —and won— the 2017 Champions League final, against Juventus.
