Rammstein leader faces new allegations of sexual violence

Till Lindemann, lead singer of the well-known heavy metal band Rammstein, must face new accusations of sexual abuse and abuse of power. This has been denounced by various German media, following the accusation of a young woman who claimed to have been drugged at a band concert in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.

According to the news portal of the public channel ARD, a woman has detailed a horrific incident that occurred in 2020 in which Lindemann allegedly brutally raped her until she bled. The young woman confessed that she had not resisted due to the intimidating fame of the singer.

Another testimony belongs to a 21-year-old woman, who has recounted having woken up in a hotel room after a concert, finding herself in the middle of an act of abuse by the 60-year-old vocalist. According to the girl, the singer did ask her if she should stop.

ARD has explained that it has received testimonials from more than a dozen women who claim to have been summoned by people close to Lindemann, inviting them to exclusive events where they were asked to dress provocatively. They were even asked to send photos in advance to see if they passed some kind of cut. As evidence, the women submitted WhatsApp conversations and other message exchanges.

In response, the Rammstein band issued a brief statement last Sunday, ruling out that none of the narrated events occurred in their environment. "We are not aware of any official investigations in this regard," the group concluded.
