Puig outlines the priorities before elections with his 'hard core': inflation, employment and European aid

The president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has summoned this morning the entire Presidency team -autonomous secretaries and general directors who report directly to the president- to outline with them from minute one the priorities of the remainder of the legislature until the campaign election which, he recalled, "will start when it has to start". The head of the Consell has recalled that there are five months left for the appointment with the polls and that it is not possible to be "with an electoral gaze" anymore.

Everything seems to indicate that the regional president intends to exhaust the legislature and rejoin the regional elections with the municipal ones scheduled for May 28. For this reason, he asks his people to forget about the electoral calculation and focus on meeting the eighth Botànic budget that was approved in less than two weeks.

During the meeting with his hard core, the president of the PSPV stressed that the government's agenda must be marked by the fight against inflation, obtaining European resources and relaunching the economy and employment. In addition, he has highlighted the need to address the housing problem, which especially affects young people, and to continue promoting the reinforcement of public health.

The head of the Consell has urged his people to be very attentive to the effects on the economy of the measures already implemented (reduction in rates, reduction in the prices of public transport that continues to be free for young people) with the intention of seeing if, in the coming months, more can be implemented to reduce the impact of inflation on Valencian families.

The President of the Generalitat took advantage of his visit to the City of Hope in Aldaia -a center for those people who are at risk of social exclusion due to their vulnerable situation-, to underline that "2023 is a year for hope" .
