The first edition of the Primavera Sound Madrid festival has started this Wednesday with bad news: the suspension of Thursday's event for security reasons due to the adverse weather forecast, as announced by the organizers of the event, which has been held these previous days in Barcelona.
The festival will continue with the days of Friday and Saturday in the City of Rock, in Arganda del Rey, after the opening day that will be held this Friday at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid.
"Due to the persistent inclement weather experienced in recent weeks that have affected the pre-production of the festival and given the adverse forecast that is expected for Thursday, June 8, with strong storms during the afternoon, the day of Thursday, June 8, Primavera Sound Madrid in the City of Rock in Arganda del Rey is suspended for security reasons," the organization said.
Although its suspension has not been considered, the opening day has also suffered delays on the scheduled program due to the rain, the opening of doors has been delayed and La Paloma has not been able to finally act. The rest of the performances continue at their scheduled times.
Day tickets for the day on Thursday, June 8 will be valid for the days on Friday or Saturday without the need to make additional arrangements. If it is not used on any of the two remaining days, once the festival is over and as soon as possible, those who purchased it will automatically receive a refund of the day ticket amount.
