Four men are suspected of attempting a "possible armed robbery" at the European Fine Arts Fair (TEFAF) in the southern Dutch city of Maastricht, police confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.
In the videos circulating online, four men, one with a sledgehammer, could be seen smashing their way into jewelry boxes and another brandishing what appeared to be a gun at a person who tried to intervene.
Fortunately, in an emailed statement, the fair confirmed that attendees had been evacuated Tuesday morning due to an "incident" and no one had been injured.
For its part, the police of the province of Limburg has assured that several police units were looking for the suspects.
