Piqué's new dart against Shakira: "I'm very happy"

Gerard Piqué seems to be enduring the media storm he is facing without any problem. Since Shakira launched her collaboration with Bizarrap on January 12, the Catalan has not hesitated to appear as calm as possible, as if the world had not gone crazy with everything that had happened.

However, now Piqué has decided to dedicate some statements to his ex-wife in an interview he has given to the newspaper El País. The ex-soccer player has spoken about how he is in this new stage of his life, assuring that he is "very happy".

The truth is that the man from Barcelona does not seem to have had much problem in continuing with his life, this time at the hands of Clara Chía, his current partner. Accustomed to discretion and avoiding new controversies, Piqué has surprised everyone with the latest statements in relation to his family.

When asked about the commotion caused after his break with the Colombian, the Catalan replied that "I'm not going to comment, I don't feel like it. Everyone has their responsibility to try to do what's best for their children." These statements are a full-fledged hint to Shakira, mother of the little ones.

The ex-soccer player added that "it's about protecting them, that's the job of all parents with their children. That's what I'm focused on and that's my job as a father." Piqué took the opportunity to make it clear that for him his children are ahead of everything, always being his priority.

Regarding the moment he is experiencing on a personal level, the Catalan has assured that "I keep doing what I want, I want to be true to myself. I'm not going to spend money cleaning up my image…". Everything seems to indicate that the criticism slides off him and he doesn't let the criticism affect him in the slightest.

"I spend my energy being with my loved ones and giving them what I have. I am very happy. There have been changes in my life and I have known how to preserve happiness," he finally commented. With these statements, the Barça player wanted to throw a new dart at his ex-wife, making it clear that his affairs are a thing of the past for him.
