From May 11 to May 19 of this year, Temps de Flors is celebrated in Girona, which attracts many photography lovers, as can be seen in La Vanguardia’s Readers’ Photos.

During these days, a set of corners of Girona’s Barri Vell become floral and creative spaces to walk through.

Temps de flors has been celebrated since 1954, its creator was Maria Cobarsí and this festival is known worldwide for attracting visitors from all over the planet.

This year and due to the drought, there are spaces with dried flowers and other decorative figures. There are many corners that can only be visited during this celebration, so it is worth taking advantage of this week to visit Girona.

This year there are 109 spaces to visit, distributed in 16 neighborhoods. All the information is on the event website, with plans detailing the spaces and three proposed routes.

Some of these photographs are made with the splash technique, the main thing in color and the background in black and white so that the colors stand out.

On a mostly sunny day in Girona we enjoyed the floral beauty of Temps de Flors. Like every year the city dresses in flowers. A spectacle for the eyes and the senses. Better to visit during the week, since on weekends there are many people.

In these photographs I show some of the floral spaces in Temps de Flors.
