Carlos Flores, Vox candidate for the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana, will continue to be a member of the Consell de Transparència for a few more weeks - the body for which he was once proposed by the PP - due to the lack of agreement between the parliamentary groups. And that it seemed that it was a priority of the different parties to renew this counselor after it was revealed that two decades ago he was convicted of verbal violence against his wife from whom he was separating.
This information about Flores' past made the left, with the apparent approval of the PP, make a demand for his dismissal. Everything was aimed at the fact that in the plenary session next week, at least, this pending renewal would be carried out. In fact, this Tuesday there was a meeting between the trustees before the meeting of the Board and the Board to discuss the issue.
However, there has been no agreement. Contrary to what the PSPV deputy spokesperson did a few days ago, who opened the door to renewing only Trasnparència, the titular trustee, Ana Barceló, has made it clear that the renewal must be done of all expired organs. In the PSPV they understand that the PP has not shown any will to demand the resignation of Flores and they do not believe that they have to be the ones to solve a problem for them and agree to renew only what is convenient for the main opposition party.
Thus, given the lack of agreement in the Consell Jurídic Consultiu (renewal paralyzed by the PP that has run aground all the others) and the request of Ciudadanos to have more time for the new trustee. Mamen Peris, change the names "personally" chosen by her predecessor (Ruth Merino), the global agreement has been impossible.
Thus, it is possible that Carlos Flores will continue in office until he leaves it, on his own initiative, due to incompatibility with being a candidate for the Generalitat.
