The British medium, which is not the first time that it has correctly advanced news from the video game sector, shares other information about the new console. To begin with, he maintains that “the development kits for the next Nintendo console are already in the hands of some key studios.”

Regarding the console itself, VGC states that two of its sources say that “the console will go on sale with an LCD screen, instead of a higher quality OLED, with the aim of reducing costs, especially considering the significant increase in storage needed for higher fidelity games.” The data makes sense, since the different Nintendo Switch models that have gone on sale have only had 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage, an insufficient amount of space for what many games usually occupy today.

Another detail that VGC claims to have obtained from its sources is that the console will once again accept games in physical format thanks to a cartridge slot, as is the case with the current Nintendo Switch.

Regarding backward compatibility, the British media assures that it is a characteristic that “is not yet clear”.
