New strike day at Ryanair: these are the canceled flights

Four flights have been canceled this Tuesday and 33 have suffered delays on the second day of the four to which cabin crew at Ryanair are called this week in Spain by the USO and Sictpla unions. The delays have affected Barcelona (12 delayed departure or arrival flights), Malaga (5 delayed) and Alicante (4 delayed) to a greater extent.

As reported by USO, until 9 a.m., one of the four suspended flights had departed from Barcelona airport, another arrived in Barcelona, one made the Madrid-Palma de Mallorca route and another Palma de Mallorca-Madrid. the suspension of a flight that covered the route between London and Barcelona is added.

In Madrid, 3 flights have left or have arrived late; in Seville, Santiago de Compostela, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia, two in each case; and in Ibiza, one, and in Girona, none.

Ryanair cabin crew are summoned this week to the last round of strikes scheduled for July at the Spanish airports where the Irish low-cost airline operates, after the recent days of strike from 12 to 15 and from 18 to 21 of this month .

According to sources from the USO union, the cabin crew demand the application of the collective agreement in force in Spain: 14 salary payments, 22 working days of vacation (and not 20 as fixed by Ryanair) or abolish the subcontracting model through agencies of the same group, among other things. The crew started the strike at the end of June and, given the company's refusal to change the conditions, they have maintained the stoppages until the last week of July.

In the event that travelers are affected by a cancellation of their flight due to the strike, they can exercise their rights to demand compensation. If the cancellation is the responsibility of the company -in the case of a strike it is- they can claim the compensation included in the 2004 European Regulation on the rights of airline passengers, which in this case provides compensation of between 250 and 600 euros if the cancellation has not been communicated within a minimum of 14 days.
