Netflix premieres the trailer for

The big screen never tires of Marilyn Monroe. And neither does the little one. Her life will always continue to interest the viewer and the commitment to recreate it this time has been by Netflix.

The production company has finally released this Thursday the trailer for the biopic of the mythical actress, which will be available starting on September 28 with the Cuban-Spanish interpreter Ana de Armas as the protagonist.

The film, the brainchild of Andrew Dominik, director of films such as Kill Them Softly and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Cowardly Robert Ford, has been long in coming: it was recorded at the end of 2019 and was going to be released in 2021. But some scenes Monroe's sexual relations too graphic for Netflix's taste delayed its release.

Dominik's project has been in the making for much more than two years, according to Vanity Fair. The director began developing Blonde 15 years ago, in which actresses such as Naomi Watts or Jessica Chastain, among others, have been considered for the role of Monroe, before belonging to Ana de Armas.

This new film will be an adaptation of the biographical novel Blonde, by Joyce Carol Oates, published in 2000. In it, the author recreates the life of Norma Jeane Mortenson, known as Marilyn Monroe, from her beginnings in the world of cinema to his tragic death in 1962 from a barbiturate overdose.

The cast is completed by well-known actresses and actors such as Bobby Cannavale, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel, Adrien Brody and Evan Williams. The script, signed by Dominik himself, is produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracey Landon and Scott Robertson.
