Mbappé surpasses Messi and Cristiano as the player with the highest income in the world

Not only on the field, but also economically, Kylian Mbappé is called to be the king of football. According to Forbes, the PSG star is already the player with the most income between his salary at the French champion and his advertising contracts, a total of 131.1 million euros with which he surpasses, for the first time since 2014, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The emoluments of the French represent a new record. Mbappé surpasses his partner Messi on the list, second with 122.9 million euros, while the third is Cristiano Ronaldo, now at Manchester United, who will earn a total of 102.42 million euros in 2022.

Both the Argentine and the Portuguese have been the great dominators of world football in the last decade, also in the financial section, but neither of them had exceeded 100 million in income until they were 30 years old. Mbappé has achieved it at just 23 years of age and thanks to the renewal signed with PSG last summer, which gave him a three-year contract, until 2025, with the highest record in the world.

In this 2022, the Parisian player will receive about 112.66 million between his salary and a renewal bonus. This amount is added to the 18.44 million with his various collaborations (Nike, Dior, Hublot, Oakley, Panini, the FIFA video game). He also created a production company, Zebra Valley, and invested in the field of NFTs.

In the advertising field, Mbappé is still far from the 60 million that Ronaldo earns and the 55 million that Messi earns. These three players represent more than half of the 667.77 million that add up to the ten highest salaries in world football. Last year the Top 10 accumulated 599 million, which means an increase of 11%.

The next on the list prepared by Forbes is Neymar, also from PSG, who will earn 89 million in 2022. Fifth is Mohamed Salah, from Liverpool, with 54 million, while sixth, with 40 million, is Erling Haaland, along with Mbappé called to dominate football. He is followed by Barcelona player Robert Lewandowski, with 35, and Madrid player Hazard with 31. The ninth place of Andrés Iniesta, a Vissel Kobe player, with 30 million, is surprising. The tenth is Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) with 29.
