Mazón warns that with the investiture of Sánchez begins "a stage in which it is time to fight"

The president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, was very concerned this Thursday about “the assault on the Constitution” that in his opinion threatens to be produced by the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. The popular leader has indicated that, "in terms of the Spanish nation, of the structure of the State, from the Valencian Community, we are starting a stage, if this investiture is confirmed, in which we have to fight, not only in the budgetary, in the social, in investments, but also in the Spain we know and in the Constitution".

A fight for which the Valencian president has called on the Valencian people "from rigor, not against anyone, with open arms, with the same values with which the Spanish Constitution and the Statute were launched, but with the greatest determination of a people who once again want to be leaders and who have no shame or complexes.

In his speech at the Europa Forum Mediterranean Tribune, Mazón did not hesitate to describe the future amnesty law as “a failure of the rule of law” and wanted to emphasize that people have been condemned not for their “emancipatory dream” but for “ corruption and embezzlement.” “Corruption is being amnesty. Not only will they be forgiven, but they will also be asked for forgiveness,” he indicated.

In this sense, he has reiterated the idea that his Government will go where necessary "to defend the equality of all Spaniards."

Mazón has also taken advantage of his intervention to show his concern about the fact that the new executive "strangles the expansion of the port of Valencia." He has indicated that he “continues to fear about it”, especially after seeing the attitude of the PSPV that abstained last week in Les Corts Valencianes from a non-law Proposal of the PP that asked the Government to execute said expansion. For the president of the Generalitat, the Valencian socialists have “consummated their betrayal of the most urgent project that the Valencian Community has.”

Thus, the popular leader has stressed that Valencia "is the great port of Spain" and that its expansion "is a question of Spanish GDP and not of localist demands." In this context, he recalled his appointment on December 12 with the Madrid president Isabel Díaz Ayuso to defend the port infrastructure.

In the week in which the Government of the change of PP and Vox has approved its first budgets, Mazón also wanted to highlight the difficulty of preparing the accounts. As an example of the inheritance received, he has reported that 800 million euros have been found awarded by hand with 270,000 files without a competition qualifying for it. The Alicante leader has indicated that possible irregularities will be investigated after detecting that 450,000 euros per day have been awarded by hand in the last legislature.

In his long speech and in question time, Mazón has shown his doubts regarding a possible reduction or forgiveness of the historical debt; "It doesn't seem the most serious to me," he has come to say. Of course, he has clarified that if the Government considers condoning money, "it has to start with the Valencian Community" which is the most harmed by the current financing model.
