Mazón offers dialogue to the PSPV and Compromís to jointly claim the "Valencian agenda"

Carlos Mazón has offered today to the opposition of the PSPV and Compromís "dialogue" to achieve unity of action of the Valencian deputies in Les Corts and in Congress to demand together, among others, the financing, or the payment of the FOGA debt . "Unity of action to condition the State budget if the financing, distribution of investments and debt schedule of the FOGA are not guaranteed," he said.

He said it in the debate on the Amnesty Law that was held in the Corts Valencianes. In one of his interventions, the Valencian president invited the socialists to send him their proposals on the five pacts proposed by Ximo Puig (in the investiture debate) and recalled that he extends them to financing and water.

In this context, he has offered a "round of dialogue" to the forces of the left to, among others, "jointly propose amendments to the State PGE to achieve a distribution of state investments according to population weight, working together ". In addition, he has asked for his participation in the regional water table and to demand "together" the recognition of Valencian Civil Law.

He has also offered to initiate contacts for the renewal of the statutory bodies of the Valencian Community. "I want us to be able to teach a Valencian lesson, to be able to, despite our differences, do things together." "I announce that in the coming days, even while the amnesty law is being processed, we will squeeze the resources that the law gives us and I will call all political groups to a round of dialogue seeking to unite efforts on what still matters to us all" , he has stated.

"I await your response to this offer and I am convinced that the Valencian people do too. And don't get me wrong: it is not an ultimatum for today nor a challenge that I am throwing at you," he previously highlighted the interventions of the opposition leaders.

The Ombudsman of Compromís, Joan Baldoví, has pointed out that "first they throw away the gasoline, then they set everything on fire and now the firefighter comes." For her part, the trustee of the PSPV, Rebeca Torró, has indicated that the PSPV will always be "on the side of what moves the Valencian Community forward."

In his reply, Mazón has interpreted the responses from PSPV and Compromís as a 'no' to his offer, but has insisted on his offer. According to him, it is a good time "although it seems difficult" and it is compatible to reject the amnesty with calling for unity.

"In the next few days you will receive my call," Mazón said. Furthermore, he has asked the socialists if they are willing to work for a "common front" in favor of the expansion of the port of Valencia, given their different positions in votes on the matter in Les Corts and in the Provincial Council of Valencia.
