Mazón announces a plan to build 10,000 officially protected houses

The 'president' of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has announced that the procedures for a new Housing Law in the Valencian Community have been launched, which among other things for the "fight against illegal occupation", and the Vive Plan , with the aim of building 10,000 officially protected homes.

This is how Mazón advanced it this Tuesday during his participation in the Alacant Forum, of the Information Club, in which he gave the conference 'The Community that Comes'. In it, he has compared a decalogue of his program before becoming president with the actions carried out during the time he has been in office.

In terms of housing, which he intended to "convert into social policy", Mazón has stated that the Valencian Community "will stand up to the Sánchez Housing Law" and has announced a new Housing Law in the Valencian Community that "reinforces exclusive competence" of Valencian autonomy in housing matters.

"We will carry out the review, organization and updating for the protection of owners, the fight against illegal occupation, the use of housing for social purposes and its public promotion. It will be a reality and these procedures have already been launched," he expressed. .

He has also announced the launch of the Vive Plan, to build officially protected housing. "As a priority, it will implement and optimize the land already available, during these eight years, to address the first 8,000 homes," he said. In addition, they will be in contact with city councils to have new land available until they reach 10,000.

Regarding health, he welcomed the return of the Emergency Information and Coordination Centers (CICU) to Alicante and Castellón. As for the one in Alicante, it has been announced that it will be located in the capital and will have twelve doctors, six nurses and 15 announcers. In this sense, he has specified that it will involve an investment of one million euros from the Ministry of Health, in addition to the technical, infrastructure and personnel costs.

Furthermore, he has emphasized that they have launched the General Demographic Directorate of Primary Care of the Community, has highlighted that the "fight against waiting lists" begins with diagnoses and has stated that they will put an end to "the hidden linguistic requirement." "It's about applying common sense to be attractive in the medical class," she defended.

In water matters, he emphasized "unity" and praised that "for the first time in decades" there has been a meeting between the legal services of the Generalitat and the Alicante Provincial Council. Likewise, he has announced that they will create the Community Water Table, in which he has offered to participate to politicians, universities, social and economic agents.

Regarding education, he has announced "absolute free tuition" for students from zero to three years old next year and the elimination of those he has described as "language guards", who he has pointed out will be replaced by "more psychologists and more school nurses". Furthermore, he has highlighted the annulment of the multilingualism decree and the implementation of the single district.

Likewise, he has mentioned tourist aid to "compensate for the scrapping of the Imserso" and has insisted on the elimination of "any hint of a tourist tax."

Regarding tourism, which he believes should be a "state policy", he has set as a future objective a second runway at the Alicante-Elche-Miguel Hernández airport, as well as the direct air connection of the Community with the United States. "

On the other hand, in relation to his intention for this to be "Alicante's time", Mazón has emphasized that there are "more Alicante people than ever" in the Consell and has regretted the "historical debt" with Elche, while at the same time he has claimed a technical report that demonstrates the impossibility of the temporary transfer of the Lady to the city of Elche.

The head of the Consell has stressed that the Community "has something to say" regarding the country model and has advocated for an autonomy that "opens the blinds." "With administrative and bureaucratic simplification, with fiscal competitiveness, with the elimination of prejudices, it is about having a Community that opens the shutters: to investment, to economic activity that will bring social cohesion, to large companies, renewables, to traffic commercial, to the expansion of the Port of Valencia, to small, medium or large investment. Let's see if, once and for all, we are Comunitat", he concluded.
