The popular Valencians registered their regional lists this Wednesday, as well as their ballot to fight for victory in the Valencia City Council. Some candidacies that show the new stage that is opening in the PP of the Valencian Community also at the institutional level after the organic change that took place two years ago and that now aspires to take root in Parliament and in the consistories.
These are Mazón's first lists as president of the PPCV and it shows with a total renovation: 70% of the top 10 positions on the list for Les Corts are occupied by new faces. In Alicante, the still president of the provincial institution has surrounded himself with his closest people (Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca, José Antonio Rovira or Eduardo Dolón), while in Valencia he has sought territorial balances with the general secretary and candidate for Mayor, María José Catalá, and the provincial president, Vicent Mompó, who have had room to place their people. Both lead the candidacy.
The regional list was known last Sunday, but the one from Catalá to the City Council was not made official until yesterday, regardless of the names that have been leaking these days. Catalá follows in Mazón's footsteps with many new faces, but with the exception that she already drew up the previous municipal list. This circumstance and the expectation of growth (he now has 8 councilors and some surveys place him as high as 13), is what allows him to consolidate his current team (all the councilors repeat, although some of them are in suffering places) and incorporate new faces in prominent positions. As already happened in 2019, only one councilor from the time of Rita Barberá remains in the consistory.
These are incorporations of a technical profile, which allows the skillful leader to sell the idea that she has prepared a list to govern, assigning areas in advance to the new signings of a hypothetical government in which she has no place for Vox .
Thus, after the presence on the list of Juan Carlos Caballero and María José Ferrer San Segundo, José Marí Olano who was an autonomous deputy between 2007 and 2012 is incorporated as 4.
