Massive Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure

The Russian artillery has again punished this morning the energy infrastructures (water and electricity) of the large cities of Ukraine, especially Kyiv and Karkiv. In the capital, the explosions have surprised the population at dawn and minutes later some neighborhoods have been left without electricity or running water.

The attacks have also taken place in the vicinity of the city of Zaporizhia, where the nuclear power plant now managed by the occupying army is located. The attacks have also left the rail service without the energy it needs to function.

The offensive comes two days after the drone attack on some units of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, of which Moscow accuses the Kyiv army. The Ukrainians deny this and say that it is Russia that does not know how to manage its own weapons.

As a result of these events, Russia has interrupted the agreement sponsored by the United Nations by which the export of grain was allowed.

The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, has indicated that "Russia continues to punish civilian infrastructure with its actions. We will persevere. Generations of Russians will pay a very high price for this."
