Marta Lozano: “I'm looking forward to resting a little, I've had tough months due to pregnancy”

Marta Lozano has not stopped traveling as she has attended fashion weeks in New York, Milan and Paris. But her big week has undoubtedly been this. The influencer and businesswoman announced her first pregnancy on social media on Tuesday, two days before the big annual party she throws to celebrate her success with Glowfilter, her cosmetics brand. In this long-awaited celebration she wanted to bring the essence of the Royal Ascot horse races to the Zarzuela racecourse in Madrid for her friends and collaborators.

In statements to this medium, Lozano tells us how she feels when combining pregnancy with this busy season of commitments. "Although I have had very bad months with the pregnancy, because the first trimester is difficult, I enjoy work and I want to take advantage of it now because I know that it may be harder for me later." After so much jogging, Lozano also acknowledges that, although he really wanted this party, "I'm looking forward to getting home and disconnecting, why am I going to cheat?"

A fan of Jane Austen's romantic novels since she was a teenager, Lozano transported the current aesthetics of that traditional gathering of Georgian England, a dream come true for her. Among her attendees were Aida Domènech, María García de Jaime, María Pombo, Laura Escanes, Ángela Rozas Sáiz, Teresa Andrés Gonzalvo, Sam Vázquez, Lucas Loren, Albert Mullor, Carmen Farala and Violeta Mangriñán.

Where did the idea of celebrating an Ascot-type party come from?

This year the entire Glowfilter team was invited to the Royal Ascot in England and we thought it was an incredible experience. We decided to bring its essence to Spain and celebrate the Glowscot at the Zarzuela racecourse, we have personalized everything, it has turned out incredible.

These have been very intense weeks for you. Paris Fashion Week, pregnancy announcement, Glowfilter party... what do you think about when you get home and have time to disconnect?

We have been non-stop since September because we did New York Fashion Week, then Milan, then Paris. Then all the events I have been to in Madrid, plus the preparations for the Glowfilter party. The truth is that I'm looking forward to getting home, why am I going to cheat. Although I have had very bad months with the pregnancy, because the first trimester is difficult, I enjoy work and I want to take advantage of it now because I know that it may be harder for me later. I really want to get home and disconnect, truly. But I also really wanted this Glowfilter party.

Three years seems short to establish itself in the world of cosmetics, what is the brand's secret?

Since the brand was launched in summer 2020 until now, I still can't believe everything we have achieved. The secret of the brand is definitely in a lot of effort, many hours, and in trying the products a lot until we are 100% convinced that they are perfect.

Your partner in the company is also your husband, Lorenzo Remohi. What is it like working as a couple?

Lorenzo and I get along very well working together. Like all couples we have our moments, but at the end of the day we are the best team.

If social networks had not crossed your life, what would you do?

I can't imagine myself in another profession right now (Laughs). I'm very excited about the moment I'm in right now.

What influencers or celebrities inspire you?

Ugh, how complicated… Well, I think Aida Domènech, Dulceida. In the end she was the pioneer in Spain and I think that all of us who are dedicated to the world of networks have learned something from her. She is a super hardworking woman and she is wonderful.

You have declared yourself a feminist, how do you apply feminism in your daily life?

As a content creator I try to always be true to myself and I try to be a reflection of inspiration for the young girls who see me on social networks, showing them that they can be whatever they want in life. If I can somehow inspire other women, it makes me very happy to think that. Although we are still a small company, the Glowfilter team is mostly made up of women.

You like romantic novels, do you have any favorites or any recent ones that you recommend?

One of my favorite romance novels is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The chemistry between the protagonists, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy is wonderful. Another novel that I have carried in my suitcase during the last few fashion weeks is Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I spend so much time on flights that reading is one of my favorite pastimes. I always find in them a way to escape and immerse myself in magical stories.

If your life were a novel, would there be main characters that your Instagram followers don't know about?

Definitely. Behind the scenes of social media, there are many important people in my life who are not always visible to my followers. There are my close friends, my family, and of course, my husband, Lorenzo, who is a fundamental part of my story and constant support. There is also an incredible team behind Glowfilter, talented and dedicated people working to make our vision a reality and deliver high quality products. These characters inspire me, support me and help me grow and achieve my goals. They are a fundamental pillar in my personal novel.

What would you say to all the young women who follow you and who want to be like you?

That they remember that each one of us is unique and special, with different talents and abilities and that they do not try to be like anyone else, because being themselves is what makes them shine. Don't be afraid of obstacles and jump into the pool to fulfill your dreams. And if things don't go as they thought, don't get discouraged, keep moving forward trusting in yourself.
