Marín, about his position as president at CES: "I don't care if someone at Cs has been upset"

"Nobody in Cs can ask or demand anything of me at the moment," said Juan Marín, the newly appointed president of the Economic and Social Council of Andalusia (CES) after accepting the offer made by the leader of the Andalusian Government, Juanma Moreno. For the former leader of Ciudadanos, his debt to the orange formation is more than settled after "giving everything" by the acronym of the party, so he does not understand some comments made by colleagues about the decision to join, although in a position institutional, in the Government of the PP-A. "If someone has been upset, I feel sorry for him, but I don't care exactly," he asserted.

With this answer, he wanted to settle the controversy raised by the president of the party at the national level, Inés Arrimadas, who affirmed yesterday that a part of the militancy is surprised and "hurt" by his decision. “Inés has been informed at all times” of the situation, “I called her on Sunday after the president called me. She was the one who should have given explanations to the executive or to the members of the party if she considered it appropriate”, she declared, “I don't have to give explanations anymore, at this point in my life, to anyone”, she sentenced.

It was Juan Marín, the same one who got Cs to enter the Andalusian Parliament with force, who was forced to resign from all his positions in the formation after the debacle suffered in the 19-J elections. From 21 deputies in the Andalusian Chamber, they did not obtain any representation and, therefore, withdrew from political life.

Since then nothing had been heard from him again, despite the fact that Juanma Moreno has always tempted him with offers and front-line political positions, with spokespersons or councils. “I have renounced all that out of loyalty to my party”, she justified herself, although she has explained that the presidency of the CES is an institutional position with which she does not contradict her promise not to join the Government. And, to those who say they don't understand his movement, he plans to dedicate little time: "It hurt me a lot to have to leave and few people called me to say here I am."

But the rumors of new signings by the team of the Chairman of the Board among the ranks of Cs do not stop. The new objective is to rescue Marta Bosquet, the former president of the Andalusian Parliament, for the Government.

Today was when Marín confirmed that the lawyer from Almería has an offer from Moreno on the table and that he would be delighted to be able to work with her again. "Hopefully she can join" because "she is an exceptional woman and we cannot afford to lose talent at a time when Andalusia needs reforms", she explained, since she has insisted that "she has my support for whatever she decides where want to be".

Bosquet's case is different from that of Marín or other colleagues who have joined the Executive. She left the military in Cs a long time ago "due to discrepancies" and, since then, she has stayed away from public life. Now, however, she could end up accepting the position that the leader of the PP-A offers her and going back to doing institutional work. Although it has not yet been confirmed, everything indicates that the offer could be limited to the field of law.

It would be the last incorporation of Cs and his appointment is expected to become official shortly, after Moreno has managed to add this week the one who was his vice president during the previous legislature, Juan Marín, who joins the incorporation from Rocío Blanco as Minister of Employment, to Rocío Ruiz as a member of the Audiovisual Council of Andalusia, to Sergio Romero in the Andalusian Youth Institute of Cádiz and to Tereesa Pardo, territorial delegate of Justice in Malaga.
