Marc Márquez, declared "fit" to get back on a MotoGP on Tuesday

Three months and eight days after his last race (Italian GP), Marc Márquez will once again get on a MotoGP machine, this coming Tuesday, on the first day of testing in Misano. The Catalan pilot has received this Saturday the approval of the World Championship doctors to be able to participate in the training session, intended mainly to test the new 2023 prototypes, as he himself hinted at the beginning of August.

For Marc Márquez, beyond testing the 2023 machine, it will be a new step forward in his planned and programmed return to competition, after overcoming a fourth operation on his right arm three months ago, at the Mayo Clinic in the United States.

In this process, accelerated in recent weeks after receiving the medical approval from his trusted team at the Ruber clinic in Madrid, Márquez previously got on a street Honda, a CBR600RR, at the MotorLand circuit in Alcañiz, on 31 last August and September 2. Both sessions were positive. "Marquez has gained valuable knowledge about the condition of his arm," according to Honda.

The next step was to travel this weekend to the San Marino GP, where this Saturday he underwent the mandatory medical examination to be able to participate in the tests on Tuesday.

Depending on how he feels on the competition bike, Márquez will refine the date of his return to racing. The next appointment, after this GP of San Marino, is the GP of Aragon, from September 16 to 18. He has two days of training and 11 days of recovery and preparation ahead of him to get to Motorland on time.
