Marc Gasol, president and player of Bàsquet Girona, is in the list of basketball players who have communicated to the ACB "their intention to return to competitions" in the 2022-23 season.

The club association made public today the list of players subject to the right of first refusal and the list of those who wish to compete again in the top flight next season, Gasol among them.

The winner of the NBA title in 2019 and double world champion with the Spanish team in 2006 and 2019 avoided commenting on his future on June 19, when Bàsquet Girona achieved promotion to the ACB league.

Marc Gasol is 37 years old. After going through Barcelona and Girona and after thirteen seasons in the NBA, the Barcelona center opened a second stage in Spain by returning to Bàsquet Girona in 2021, which he also chairs.
