Les Franqueses del Vallès has large areas where crop fields, forests, farmhouses and densely populated areas alternate. It is, without a doubt, very varied and diverse.
This series of photographs in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia focus specifically on the area of Marata, a town that forms part of Les Franqueses, in the Vallès Oriental.
In my opinion, Marata and its surroundings are a privileged area, characterized by its agricultural and/or rural environment. We will be able to walk, see farmhouses, dry fields, the stream, thick forests and, ultimately, enjoy wonderful views.
And among all the forest and steep fields, looking towards the north, we can see the Montseny mountain, where its highest part is in Vallès.
One way to get closer to observing Montseny as in the photographs is if we travel by bicycle. In Marata it will be easy to find professional cyclists or simple amateurs who pedal for fun and enjoy the environment this way on two wheels.
Without a doubt, Marata is a place where we can enjoy many things, in very different ways and all without getting bored for a second. It is not just a through road or a place for farmers, but a place to live, to walk, relax and, above all, where you can enjoy nature while being very close to the capital of the region.
