María Jiménez's son follows in the footsteps of Ángel Cristo Jr. and sits on television for the first time

On September 7, Spain said goodbye to one of the country's most beloved singers, dancers and actresses: María Jiménez. The indomitable, impetuous artist, without mincing words and who knew how to make herself essential in the world of art with her wild interpretations where she left her heart.

Become an icon of feminism and empowerment, she could do everything on stage; but she also knew how to do it from the outside. She was married twice to Pepe Sancho, whom she denounced for mistreatment when she separated from her. As a result of that relationship, her son, Alejandro, was born, and this Friday he sits down on 'Friday!' to give his first interview after the death of his mother.

The Telecinco space was presented in prime-time of the night with a juicy interview with Ángel Cristo Jr., who has managed to revolutionize the gossip press for almost a week. An excellent audience figure that they will try to achieve again with Alejandro Sancho, who will explain in detail what his mother's life was like off stage.

The son of María Jiménez and Pepe Sancho, who is currently proud of the artist and, since he could remember, has been her most unconditional defender and support. Alejandro also had an extraordinary resemblance to the artist's other daughter, Rocío, who died in a traffic accident in 1983.

Alejandro witnessed firsthand the relationship between his parents, which he himself defined as “toxic” in an interview in the now defunct ‘Deluxe’ at the beginning of this year. The actor's mistreatment of his mother led his son to testify in favor of his mother.

“I dreamed that I beat him to death. She hated him in many ways. You're a kid and you don't understand it,” he said a few months ago. “My mother was an abused woman. I took my mother's side because she was the one who needed it. Even so, he recognizes that he forgave her father, who decided not to resume contact with his son, the day he died, the March 3, 2013.

Alejandro also gave María Jiménez one of the great joys of her life: being the grandmother of little Julia, who is now seven years old. Now, three months after the artist's death, she sits down on television again to tell her truth and tell what the reality of those hard moments was like that her mother never tired of denouncing.
