Los Galindos, Tarta Relena, Cocanha and Los Sara Fontán have been recognized with the Ciutat de Barcelona 2022 Awards for Performing Arts and Music.
The jury rated the MDR - Mort de riure, by Los Galindos, as "creating a radical and imaginative circus show, which claims the street and non-conventional spaces as stages that must be reconquered".
In the music section, the prize goes to Tarta Relena, Cocanha and Los Sara Fontán, for project 4132314, presented in the Paral·lel 62 room, inside the Grec Festival, on July 8.
The jury values "the artistic and musical excellence, the collaborative and experimental nature of the proposal and the link it establishes with the popular memory of the workers through the songs and sound imaginary of the Fabra i Coats factory, and by extension of the factories textiles”.
Tarta Relena will perform at the delivery gala, on February 15, at the Saló de Cent. The performance was already scheduled before the awards were announced. / Drafting
