Llum Barrera will lead the ceremony for the XV Gaudí Film Awards

The actress Llum Barrera will be in charge of hosting the gala presentation of the XV edition of the Gaudí Awards, of the Academia del Cine Catalan, which will take place on Sunday January 22, 2023 in the Oval Hall of the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC).

Llum Barrera will lead the ceremony for the XV Gaudí Film Awards

The actress Llum Barrera will be in charge of hosting the gala presentation of the XV edition of the Gaudí Awards, of the Academia del Cine Catalan, which will take place on Sunday January 22, 2023 in the Oval Hall of the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC).

Graduated from the Barcelona Theater Institute, she has starred in such popular series as Amar es para siempre, Red bracelets or No one lives here, and in the cinema she has appeared in Princesses, Diary of a nymphomaniac or El enigma Verdaguer.

He has also taken to the stage with productions such as Bicycles are for summer, The Call or Glorious, the worst singer in the world.

Next January, Barrera will become the fifth woman to present the gala, after Clara Segura, Rossy de Palma, Alba Florejachs and Anna Moliner.

To celebrate this fifteenth birthday, the stage located under the dome of the National Palace of Montjuïc will be presided over by the Franz Schubert Filharmonia, a symphony orchestra that will perform live music from the history of the Gaudí Awards and other soundtracks from Catalan cinema, under the baton of Tomàs Grau, principal and artistic director of the ensemble.

Made up of a new generation of more than fifty musicians, the group has also worked with directors such as Antoni Ros Marbà, Salvador Mas, Edmon Colomer, Josep Pons and Salvador Brotons.

Resident orchestra of El Vendrell, birthplace of maestro Pau Casals, the Franz Schubert has made concert tours in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic and has collaborated with great soloists, such as Anne-Sophie Mutter or Maria João Pires.

The Academy has commissioned the production of the gala to Gestmusic (Banijay Iberia), a production company with more than thirty years of experience and great successes such as Martian Chronicles, Rain of stars, Look who's dancing! or the Operación Triunfo format, exported to more than twenty-five countries; and the direction will be in charge of Tinet Rubira and Verònica Pareja.

The first round of voting will conclude on December 2, and the reading of nominations will take place on December 14 at the La Pedrera Auditorium.

The second round of voting will take place between December 14 and January 16 of next year.
