Liverpool confirms the goodbye of Karius four years after his mistakes in the Champions League final

Liverpool confirmed on Thursday the departure of Loris Karius from the team, at the end of his contract, along with that of Divock Origi, who will sign in the coming days for Milan.

The goalkeeper, famous for his double mistake, against Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, in the Champions League final against Real Madrid in 2018, has not played for the 'Reds' since that match and has been on loan at Besiktas and Union of Berlin before spending the last campaign training with the rest of Liverpool's goalkeepers, but without having minutes.

Karius leaves the Anfield team with 49 games played, after arriving from Mainz in 2016.

Origi is another of those who will leave Liverpool on July 1, when his contract ends. The Belgian, who scored twice in the semi-final against Barcelona in 2019, has scored 41 goals in 175 appearances for Liverpool.
