Little Red Riding Hood goes where she wants

Little Red Riding Hood goes where she wants. This is how it is reflected on a wall in Berga, where I have captured for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia the photograph of this feminist graffiti in Catalan: "Caputxeta on are you so lonely? On em dona la gana!".

This graffiti claims with sarcastic humor that women can move freely and safely through public space, without the need for the macho protection of a man.

Feminism is a principle of equal rights between men and women and a movement that fights for the effective realization of this principle in all spheres of life. The force of feminism in Spain has been gaining weight and presence since the end of Francoism to the present day.

In the 22nd edition published in 2001, the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy defined feminism as a "social doctrine favorable to women, to whom it grants capacity and rights previously reserved for men".

Feminism has been a widely discussed and debated topic in Spanish society and has given rise to great feminist women and movements in support of gender equality in Spain.
