Leiva conquers the public in his first concert in Madrid

Leiva returns to the stages of the Madrid capital in style. She did it this Wednesday night at the Palacio de los Deportes in front of 15,000 fans ready to sing in unison the songs from her new album When you bite your lip. "We haven't been on tour for a long time, two years have passed. You don't know how excited and nervous we are”, Leiva admitted to her audience as soon as she started playing.

The concert started with Terribly Cruel, one of his biggest hits of 2014. That same year he acted as the opening act for the Rolling Stone, who curiously also played last night at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid. “That you are here on a day like today when the Rolling Stone are playing is awesome, I would not go to see Leiva if her majesty were in the capital. So you are the ostia, thank you very much”, the singer said excitedly.

After this introduction, Leiva sang several of his new songs. The album is a box of surprises: a much more pop atmosphere than that of her old projects and, above all, collaborations with artists such as Zahara, Natalia Lafourcade or Catalina García.

Halfway through the concert, the artist starred in an emotional moment that has gone viral on social networks. He was explaining a recent meeting with the relatives of a great fan of his, Adrián. The young follower, now deceased, wrote a poem for the artist but never delivered it to him, so his parents wanted to do it in his name. Yesterday, Leiva read the poem on stage, paying homage to the young Adrián.

Leiva will repeat the concert in Madrid this Sunday, since the tickets for this Wednesday sold out in a few hours and the singer wanted to announce a new date. The next stop will be Barcelona: the musician will play on June 10 at the Cruïlla Festival.
