Laura Borràs resumes political activity once the trial is over

The president of JxCat, Laura Borràs, has announced this Thursday that she is resuming political activity after the "parenthesis" that was taken to face the trial to which she has been subjected for alleged irregularities at the head of the Institution of Catalan Letters (ILC), that has been seen for sentencing.

"Today, after the trial, I thank you for the support received and I return to political activity. I do it stronger and more determined than ever. I return to continue the fight for the independence of Catalonia. I close parentheses," he said in a message on his Twitter account.

The Borràs trial was seen for sentencing yesterday: the Prosecutor's Office maintains its request for 6 years in prison and 21 years of disqualification for the JxCAT leader for awarding contracts to a friend when she presided over the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes (ILC).

In the video, Borràs acknowledges that the trial has been "a very difficult drink physically, emotionally, personally and with the family", but that at this time he "returns to work" having "verified" that "before the Spanish justice there will never be an independentista that I may have a fair trial."
