Laura Borràs rejects ultimatums but asks to implement the 1-O mandate

The president of JuntsxCatalunya, Laura Borràs, has refused to propose ultimatums and deadlines to the ERC in relation to a possible departure of her formation from the Government but has asked to implement the mandate of the 1-O referendum to comply with the agreement that allowed the formation of the Executive Catalan.

"The referendum is already done, it's the one on 1-O, it's the mandate to be implemented", the suspended president of the Parliament maintained in an interview on TV3's Els Matins, in which she recalled that Junts' presentation defends that since within each ministry it is necessary to carry out actions that allow the disconnection of the State. In other words "recover everything that was identified (before 1-O) and that was not done afterwards to disconnect us from the State" accompanied by the mobilization of the street.

Borràs wields the audit carried out by Junts to ensure that the Government agreement "that made its formation possible" is not fulfilled, particularly in its national axis, and, after rejecting that there is a crisis in its formation due to its possible departure from the Catalan Executive , has wanted to focus on compliance.

However, Borràs has refused to put a deadline on his party's decisions while distanced himself from the word ultimatum. In this sense, he has pointed out that from Junts the general political debate is marked "by what it represents". "It is not that it is a limit, but it will show where the political course will go, therefore it is the place where we must see if there will be the will to comply with the agreement", pointed out the leader of Junts.

Borràs has announced that his party will explain that from its ministries "the deployment of all those initiatives to advance towards independence is planned" and has assured that "they will put all their energy" to reach this general policy debate, we will see what comes out and then we will make our decisions without ultimatums".

The pro-independence leader has highlighted that there is no space for the strategic direction of pro-independence, one of the points contained in the Government's agreement, and has recalled that 1-O occurred because there was "unity of action". For this reason, Borràs believes that now "there is no strategy that works because there is no strategy for all" and has urged the independence movement to go together. "The polls on 14-F told us in a very difficult context that we had to come to an agreement to walk towards independence, this is what the agreement says and what Aragonés himself said at the investiture", recalled Borràs. "If we have all signed an agreement, we must enforce this agreement," he concluded.

In any case, the suspended president of the Parliament has assured that her intention is not to attack the ERC and has warned that the reproaches among the independentistas "contribute to discouragement and demobilization" make "we make mistakes about who the real enemy is" and " does not bring us closer to independence.

Regarding her suspension as president of the Parliament due to the application of article 25.4 of the regulations of the Catalan Chamber, Borràs has lamented that the Parliament has also practiced what she has described as lawfare, a term that refers to a legal dirty war from the judicial apparatus i police to bring down political rivals. "There is a will to separate political rivals through lawfare. This has been done by the State until now, and not anymore, in Catalonia we innovate. The Parliament also practices lawfare, as has happened in my case. It is no longer the State, He is not a judge," he said.
