Last feast of the cormorant in the swamp of Sau?

In Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia we can see this snapshot of the cormorant at the moment of catching a fish, it looks like a perch, in the Sau reservoir (Osona).

I was very far away and the sun had not yet risen when I captured this scene, but I had time to capture this snapshot. Perhaps soon the cormorants will leave the swamp, since without water there will be no fish either.

The Sau reservoir has little water and is being emptied to preserve the Susqueda reservoir, down the Ter river.

The cormorant is a fishing bird, it submerges in the water swimming for a while under the surface to depths of about 10 meters.

When it comes out of the water it spreads its wings to dry itself, since unlike most waterfowl its wings are not completely waterproof.

The Sau reservoir is surrounded by abysses in a spectacular setting. It is located in the Ter river basin, it belongs to the municipality of Vilanova de Sau and to the Osona region.
