LaLiga reminds Barça that it can get

The association of football clubs has made a statement to defend itself against the accusations of Barcelona's vice president, Eduard Romeu, who claimed that the president of LaLiga was co-responsible for Barça's financial situation for "looking the other way" during Bartomeu's mandate .

The League classifies the declarations as incorrect and defends the rigor and effectiveness of its economic control over the clubs. In his opinion, the worsening of Barça's economy is due to the effects of Covid. But he also points out that a large part of the 500 million losses come from "impairments and provisions for future expenses decided by the current board of directors."

That is to say, that in his letter LaLiga charges against the management of Laporta, who in recent days has raised the tone of his statements against Tebas.

The statement reminds the Barcelona entity that it will only be able to normally register signings for the next season as in the last two windows (“proportionally reducing the cost of its workforce”) unless it obtains “income and capital gains that balance” its economy.

Of course, LaLiga makes it explicit to the Blaugrana club that it does not need to join the agreement with CVC, promoted by Tebas. What other operations can make it easier for you to increase that financial fair play? “If the club were to carry out actions to generate extraordinary income that allow it to compensate for the accumulated losses and thus abandon the condition of a club that exceeded the Sports Squad Cost Limit, it could re-register players in the normal way, regardless of whether those actions correspond to operations with CVC or with any other entity”.

However, the employers do not miss the opportunity to highlight that they will never have a favorable treatment for Barça but will act as guarantor in an equal manner. "With regard to the club's adherence or not to the LaLiga Impulso agreement, Barcelona can join the project when it decides, under exactly the same conditions as the rest of the clubs that are already part of it."
