'La Vanguardia' launches its information channel on WhatsApp: receive the keys of the day and 'La Contra'

WhatsApp has until now been a messaging tool with contacts and groups. Now it can also be used as a platform to be better informed: in the new distribution channel of 'La Vanguardia' on WhatsApp you will receive the keys of the day and the main reports and interviews, such as those from 'La Contra'. There are three simple steps: just click on the following link, mark the "follow" option and click on the bell symbol.

The channels are a content dissemination tool and do not allow users to respond with text to our messages, although they can react with emojis. Neither 'La Vanguardia' nor any other user of the channel will have access to the telephone number of their followers - that is, the number with which a reader joins the channel - nor to personal data.

'La Vanguardia', present on all social networks, increases its digital offering including the main news of the day, as well as the most notable reports and interviews. The journalists from the newspaper's Social Media team will select and send the content that will also allow readers to be informed on WhatsApp: the topic of the day, La Contra, the video that everyone is talking about, the main analyses...

The option to create a WhatsApp channel is one of the new features included in the latest update of the app. You can find all the channels in the 'News' tab offered by the application.

The first thing you need to be able to enjoy the channels is to have your WhatsApp version updated. Once you join the channel, through this link, you can activate notifications by clicking on the bell icon that will appear once subscribed (by default they are not activated). This way you will always be informed of new publications.

Each reader has their favorite network to stay informed. If yours is WhatsApp, follow us on our channel. In addition, you have at your disposal our offer of newsletters (from policy keys to book recommendations, including current affairs summaries), which are one of our readers' favorite ways to stay informed.
