Those who practice kitesurfing in the Gulf of Roses have a great time. In the middle of September and with summer temperatures, the beaches are quite crowded.

Kitesurfing or kitesurfing is a sliding sport consisting of the use of a traction kite that pulls the surfer along four or five lines, two of them fixed to the bar and the remaining two or three holding the body with a harness.
This sport has three main modalities. The first is freestyle, in which jumps and maneuvers are made taking advantage of the waves of the sea.
The second is what is known as a race, in which races are held between buoys. Finally there is surfkite, which is about surfing the waves.
With a number of practitioners that increases annually, this sport has experienced such a notable boom that it has allowed it to be classified as an Olympic sport. In fact, it will make its first appearance at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
