King Juan Carlos goes to sea with his sister Margarita

This Thursday, Infanta Margarita became the protagonist of the family gathering that took place in Sanxenxo when, in the company of her children, Carlos and María Zurita, and her grandson, Carlitos, embarked with King Juan Carlos to, from Sanxenxo, take a walk along the Pontevedra estuary. Despite her visual disability, Margarita de Borbón, 84, does not shy away from anything and even less so from her brother, whom she held by the hand throughout the journey. Upon returning from the sea, the whole family shares a lunch at the Club Náutico restaurant.

King Juan Carlos, who arrived in Sanxenxo last Monday, did not leave Pedro Campos' house until Wednesday when he went to the Club Náutico facilities to embark on the Bribón. Upon his return to land, he was met with a visit from his sister, whom he had not seen since on May 23, 2022, he spent a few hours in Zarzuela after his first trip to Sanxenxo since he went into self-exile in August 2020. Infanta Elena, who has already accompanied her father on other occasions, is expected to arrive in Sanxenxo tonight.

King Juan Carlos has always been very aware of his Margarita, the youngest of the family and now his only sister after the death of Infanta Pilar in January 2020. He also maintains a good and close relationship with his nephews Carlos and María Zurita who Five years ago she was a single mother of a boy named Carlitos, whose godfather is King Juan Carlos. María Zurita has said on several occasions that when she decided to be a single mother she told King Juan Carlos that she supported him at all times. The boy is also very similar physically to Infante Alfonso de Borbón, the little brother of Pilar, Juan Carlos and Margarita, who died tragically from an accidental gunshot when he was only 14 years old.
