JxCat and Junts per Sant Pol will run together in the next municipal elections

The independent party Junts per Sant Pol, headed by Josep Parada, has reached an agreement with Junts per Catalunya Sant Pol, a formation led by Montserrat Garrido (Lili) to run jointly in the upcoming municipal elections in May 2023 in the coastal municipality of Maresme.

Junts per Catalunya Sant Pol and Junts per Sant Pol, who shared government in the Sant Pol de Mar City Council from 2016 to 2019, believe that the best way to return the illusion to the residents of Sant Pol (Maresme) is to attend together with the next municipal elections and unite efforts to reactivate the municipality.

Josep Parada, from Junts per Sant Pol, affirms that "this decision is consolidated after several meetings between the two teams where we have verified that we share the same vision of the town" and details that "we want a greener, cleaner and more careful Sant Pol, accessible, that promotes local economic activity, that encourages culture, that facilitates sports practice and that lives facing the sea”. In short, Parada continues “to do everything necessary to once again feel proud of our people. We have shared synergies with Junts for years and we believe that the occasion is important enough to take this step”.

From Junts per Catalunya Sant Pol, the candidate for mayor, Montserrat Garrido, values this understanding very positively: "from Junts we have always defended that the best way to do politics is by joining forces." In this way Lili, as she is popularly known, assures that "with Junts per Sant Pol we shared a government in the last term and after assessing it we have come to the conclusion that to reactivate the town we had to take this step and work more together than never to excite the people who gave us confidence and who want a different Sant Pol.”
