It has now become known that the Barcelona Court has agreed to seize any income that Rosa Peral and Albert López, those convicted of the murder of Pedro Rodríguez, may collect from Netflix for their image rights in the broadcast of the series produced by the company. platform, inspired by that murder.

As reported by judicial sources, and as reported by EFE, the court has accepted the request of the lawyer for the private prosecution filed by the relatives of the agent who was murdered so that the convicted persons cannot collect from the platform until they are paid the fences. of 800,000 euros in compensation set by the sentence.

Rosa Peral and Albert López, who were urban guards in Barcelona, ​​were sentenced, respectively, to 25 and 20 years in prison for murdering her partner, Pedro, who was also an agent of the force. The events happened in May 2017. The love triangle ended up triggering one of the most followed crimes in the media in our country, especially in Catalonia. The crime has inspired the series, starring Úrsula Corberó and Quim Guitiérez, and also a documentary, Rosa's Tapes.

After learning about the release of this production, the convicted woman filed a financial claim for the image rights. Peral also tried unsuccessfully to have a court in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona) paralyze the premiere of the series, which could finally be seen on the platform on September 8.

Rosa Peral asked the court to "kidnap" the series about the crime in order to be able to watch it, as a preliminary step to the possible filing of a lawsuit regarding the right to honor, personal and family privacy and one's own image, which would go directed against Arcadia Motion Pictures S.L. as defendant and against the platform Netflix Servicios de Transmisiones España S.L, as co-defendant. Finally, the Barcelona Court has agreed to seize any income that both she and López may receive.
