New chapter of the Gavi case. The commercial court number 10 of Barcelona has lifted the precautionary measures after confirming that the Barça club delivered after the deadline (1 day late) the merits of the lawsuit that argued the request for precautionary measures on January 31 for registration of Gavi in the first team.
LaLiga sources consulted by La Vanguardia point out that in the coming days the precautionary measures will be taken to deregister Gavi and that he once again be a player of the Barcelona subsidiary. Even so, they insist that even if he has a Barça Atlètic record and number, the youth squad player can continue playing with the first team until June 30
For its part, FC Barcelona has not yet received the notification but the club insists that they will submit an appeal to the Provincial Court of Barcelona because they consider and continue to argue that the request was submitted within the regulatory period. The club has 20 days to file said appeal.
Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, once again insisted in Foros de Vanguardia on the reasons for the refusal to register Gavi. “He cannot be registered because Barcelona has the salary margin exceeded by 200 million. We cannot break the rules. Barça has a solution; cut expenses, increase benefits... the levers will no longer work”, stressed the top leader of the employers' association.
It should be remembered that when the youth squad player renewed with FC Barcelona until 2026 with a clause of 1,000 million euros, it was specified in his new contract that these considerations would be fulfilled as long as he was registered as a first-team footballer. In case of remaining with a subsidiary contract, the footballer would be free on June 30 and can go to another club if he so decides. The footballer's desire has always been to remain at Barcelona.
