Juanma Moreno wants his new government to be up and running before the end of July

Juanma Moreno, the person who has achieved, for the first time in the history of Andalusia, an absolute majority of the PP in the South, wants the next government to be up and running before the end of July.

According to party sources, once the Parliament is constituted, dated July 14, the term will be shortened (15 days maximum) for the president of the Chamber to propose Moreno as the next leader of the Junta de Andalucía to the designated spokespersons by political parties or groups with parliamentary representation, as stated in article 138 of the Regulations.

With this, the investiture debate could take place during the third week of July and already, as president-elect, Moreno would go on to form an Executive that would begin work in the last week of that month.

With homework done. This is how Juanma Moreno wants to go on vacation (August is a non-working month in Parliament). The popular wants to shorten the 15 days established as the maximum time stipulated to be appointed president after the constitution of the Chamber Table. With this, the investiture act could be held during the third week of July and, therefore, his Government could be ready to face the XII legislature in the last week of the month.

One of the first tasks to attend to will be the preparation of the Budget Law Project for 2023. Let us remember that Vox knocked down the proposed budgets for this year in the Chamber and that it was the main reason why the popular decided to advance the elections.

During this time, Juanma Moreno has insisted on the need to have accounts adjusted to the new reality with which to face the current difficult economic scenario, derived from an increase in inflation and the effects of the war in Ukraine.

Therefore, everything seems to indicate that it will be the first issue to be addressed in this legislature, now with a "monocolor" government after having obtained the majority support of Andalusian citizens during the electoral day held yesterday, June 19, and in which obtained up to 58 seats.

The leader of the PP-A has stressed today in different interviews that he leaves the door open for his, until now, colleagues and partners of the Government of Citizens to join this new stage that will start before August. The orange formation did not obtain parliamentary representation yesterday, going from the 21 deputies obtained in 2018 to 0.

"There are people with talent and qualities to be" both in the first and second level of the regional administration, he declared.

However, Juan Marín, leader of the orange formation and acting vice president, has renounced this offer. In fact, the one from Sanlúcar de Barrameda resigned from all party positions, as he announced last night after knowing the electoral results, becoming one more militant of Cs. "I will not be in a government where my party is not," he concluded.
